Readable pages
Responsive layouts, visible focus, and clearly structured content support different ways of browsing.
An ongoing target
WCAG 2.2 Level AA guides the design. This is not a claim of certified or complete conformance.
Our approach
We want the HAYTÉ website to be usable by people with different abilities, devices, and ways of navigating. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the accessibility target for the site’s design and ongoing improvements.
This statement describes implemented features and known limits of the current collection preview. A complete independent accessibility evaluation has not been conducted, so we do not claim full conformance or certification.
Features available on the site
- A Skip to content link, page headings, and named navigation areas.
- Text descriptions for collection images and text labels alongside color samples.
- Visible keyboard-focus indicators and labeled buttons and form controls.
- Keyboard-operable search and image dialogs, with Escape to close and focus returned to the opening control.
- Text status messages for saved selections and other interactive results.
- Responsive layouts, browser text resizing, and reduced-motion styling when that preference is enabled.
Using a keyboard
Use Tab to move forward through links and controls, and Shift + Tab to move backward. Use Enter to follow a link or activate a focused button; Space also activates standard buttons and checkboxes.
Use the first Skip to content link to move past the main navigation. FAQ questions use expandable disclosure controls. Open search or an enlarged image with its button and use Escape or the labeled close button to return to the page.
The policy pages include On this page links to move between their sections. The footer and Client care navigation provide direct routes to the same information throughout the site.
Text, color, and movement
You can enlarge the page or text using your browser’s zoom controls. The layout is designed to reflow on smaller screens. Color names and written product descriptions accompany the photographs so that color alone is not the only way to understand a collection.
The site responds to a reduced-motion preference set on your device. Photographs communicate aesthetic details that text may not fully convey, and a written description should not be treated as a substitute for the final product’s material and sizing specifications.
JavaScript and alternative ways to browse
Collection, product, story, and information pages are available as readable HTML. The footer provides direct navigation even when the interactive mobile menu is unavailable.
Search, favorites, the preview bag, selection downloads, the gifting finder, and the measurement converter require JavaScript. When these tools are unavailable, you can browse the collection pages directly. The measurement guide also provides the conversion calculation in text.
The downloadable text selection is a plain-text reference when the bag tool is available.
Known limits and help
Browser, assistive-technology, and device combinations can behave differently. Native sharing, downloads, browser storage settings, and external websites are partly controlled outside this storefront. We have not verified every assistive-technology combination.
The current preview provides self-service Client care information but does not yet have a monitored accessibility-feedback form or public contact inbox. Gift notes are not sent to HAYTÉ and cannot be used to request assistance. If a feature is unavailable, use the direct collection links or the written guides where they meet your need.
This statement will be updated as the website’s features, support channels, and accessibility assessment change.
